Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
At Shawon Web, we strive to deliver the highest quality digital products and services. However, we understand that sometimes things don't go as planned. This Refund Policy outlines the specific circumstances under which refunds are granted.
General Refund Principles
Please read all sections carefully before making a purchase.
- If you have purchased a product or service but are not satisfied because what you needed was not delivered, we may be able to issue a refund — but only after reasonable attempts have been made to revise and deliver the expected output.
- Change of mind does not qualify for a refund. If the product or service works as described and was delivered as agreed, a refund will not be issued simply because you changed your mind.
- Unusual, unreasonable, or illogical requests that fall outside the original scope of the product or service will not be accepted as grounds for a return or refund.
Active & Ongoing Services
- We will always make reasonable efforts to deliver the agreed-upon output first. Our priority is to resolve any issues and deliver what was promised.
- During any active ongoing service (custom development, project in progress, etc.), refund requests will not be considered. The service must be completed or formally cancelled before a refund can be evaluated.
Digital Products & Subscriptions
For our software products (applications, tools, and digital downloads):
30-Day Usage Limit
Any product that has been actively used for more than 1 month (30 days) from the date of purchase will not be eligible for a refund or return.
Subscription Renewals
We do not offer refunds for automatic subscription renewals. You are responsible for cancelling your subscription via your Client Dashboard before the renewal date.
Free Trials
Users on a Free Trial will not be charged if they cancel before the trial period ends. No refund is applicable for free trials.
Domain Names (Strictly Non-Refundable)
Please read this carefully before purchasing a domain.
- Policy: Domain names registered through Shawon Web are permanently non-refundable.
- Reasoning: When you purchase a domain, the fee is immediately paid to the global registry (ICANN/Cloudflare) and cannot be reversed.
- Typos: If you misspell a domain name during registration (e.g., buying exampl.com instead of example.com), we cannot refund the money or change the name. You will need to purchase the correct name separately.
Custom Development & Services
For custom development services (websites, web apps, AI solutions, etc.):
- Quote-Based Scope: Custom services are ordered by accepting a written quote. Any refund is evaluated strictly against the scope, deliverables, milestones, and amounts set out in the quote you accepted.
- Upfront/Booking Fees: The initial deposit (usually 50%) is used to book our team's time and resources. This deposit is non-refundable once the project has officially started (kick-off meeting held or resources allocated).
- Milestone Payments: Refunds are not issued for completed milestones that have been reviewed and approved by the client.
- Cancellation by Client: If you cancel a project mid-development, you are liable to pay for all work completed up to the cancellation date.
- Cancellation by Shawon Web: If we are unable to complete your project due to our own internal issues, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid for the uncompleted work.
Third-Party Licenses & Add-ons
If your project or purchase involves third-party assets (e.g., premium themes, paid plugins, stock photos, or API credits), these costs are non-refundable as they are paid directly to external vendors.
